Single and Satisfied PDF Print E-mail

Janice RobinsonJanice characterizes herself as a forty-something, single, sassy and satisfied (coined by Michelle McKinney Hammond) African American woman. Janice's life journey has taken her from work in the business and marketing arena to full-time ministry with single and married women of all ages and to working in the health care arena. In all her responsibilities, she works to have people fulfill their desires to live full and healthy lives from physical, mental, social and spiritual perspectives.

Janice has lived as a single, devoted disciple of Jesus Christ for more than 20 years; and, during this time, she has discipled, mentored and taught on the subject of living the single life "Jesus' way." Growing out of these experiences, Janice felt inspired to write her book, "The Christian Single Woman's Guide to Being a Player God's Way," in order to answer one of the most challenging questions that Christian singles face: How to develop relationships with the opposite sex while upholding the Lord's standards for love and purity.

A native of South Carolina, Janice got her bachelor's degree in business administration from Winthrop University and her master's degree in occupational therapy from Rush University in Chicago, IL. She lived and worked in Chicago for four years before returning to her home state. Her work in the field of occupational therapy led her into professional and community leadership positions. She served as a Board Member and Chairperson of the Human Resource Committee for Deborah's Place, a homeless Shelter for women in Chicago, and she is a past President of the South Carolina Occupational Therapy Association.

Her work, as an occupational therapist, has brought her into relationships with men and women of all ages, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds as well as those experiencing a wide range of illnesses, and disabilities. She currently works full time as an occupational therapist and during her free time writes her blogs, produces her pod casts, attends speaking engagements and facilitates Let's Chat About It discussion groups.
